Promise

I never thought this could happen

I never expected this to happen

Alright, yes, I did expected something like this to happen, but never in this way.

They said he was paranoid, lost, curious enough to get himself killed.

And it did. 

Not literary, though, but what state he's in it's pretty darn close. 

It all happened in a split second, nobody saw what was coming. 

Just that morning, I had woke up from a awful nightmare, exactly like what's going with him right now, and he comforted me, saying that he'll never leave my side.

But I stood there, watched him walk away from everything we had, every memory of everyday. 

His eyes went cold, lifeless, dead. He said he didn't care for me anymore, that I'm just another girl who got on his last nerves.

I know who did this to him, I know who to blame, but why would anybody believe me, nobody knows a thing. 

A monster, a liar, a snappy dresser took him, changed him, made him into what he's now become and the monster claims that he had nothing to do with it

They just might take away the pain and for once make me smile, but the whole time I can't help but wish it was him instead.

I want to believe he's still the same old paranoid nerd with a squeaky puberty voice who's been trapped in that demon's world, but lately, it's been had to believe or trust anything.

I'm worried I'll never see him again, I'll never get him back. 

Curiosity really can hurt a boy, so much to the point where it's hurting the people who love him most

That monster's killing him, and curiosity's helping

I want to stop them, get him back

But it's going to be harder than anything I know how to stop

Because he's watching, always watching everything I do, everything I say
